The Mynd's intricacy is one of the most enamoring wonders of the world. This organ that's about the size of two fists, controls every function our body makes. It's even more intriguing that we only operate using 10% of our brain. What more can we do with the other ninety?

Inspiration.
Creatives. We're the ones who think in color. Our work is loved by everyone, but the person behind the art is often forgotten. I want to take some time and elevate our forgotten story.
I'm going to take you through the Mynd of a creative.
In today's society, a creatives worth is mass acceptance. If majority of your audience doesn't connect with your art, you're deemed a flop. If you aren't able to generate revenue, your efforts have been futile. If the entendres are to deep, your work is labeled dull-witted. Why does the work of our heart have to fit these standards?
Our Mynd's are too intricate to assign one universal definition to great artistry. It would also be fruitless for an artist to create with the hopes of pleasing every single person on this planet. So that begs the question, what's the point of creating if there are so many stipulations?
Our Mynd is overactive with ideas and it seems almost impossible to shut it off. We have to let these thoughts out. We have no choice but to express ourselves. We would go crazy if we didn't.
In preparation for this project I took some time to really think about my creative process. What stages do I go through? How have I overcome them? What did I learn from it? I identified 6 emotions I go through with every project. The first one is inspiration.
Inspiration is when you see something you desire or find valuable and want to create the reality for yourself.
This is a stage so many of us find ourselves in. We often get inspired by the most random and insignificant things. Things like seeing a tree in the middle of an empty field or reflecting about how bright the sun shines and how it’s presence reminds us of the new opportunities we're presented with everyday. Our Mynd views the pieces of life that many would overlook and makes them mean so much more.
I too, experience this emotion daily. My Mynd is always going and overthinking even the smallest gust of wind. It's one of the most blissful stages of my process. I tend to highlight all the positives and forget that negatives even exist. The power of inspiration will make a leafless tree seem fruitful.
Inspiration also fills me with the need to make others experience that same lightbulb sensation with my work. I want people, no matter the industry, to want to go out and get whatever they desire. I want to make people think, and spark stimulating conversations. I want everyone to feel that light flutter in their stomach when they see my work.
However, this is only the first stage. Something deep & dark tends to follow. An emotion that stops my entire process and often makes me give up. It's an emotion that we all can identify with.
That emotion will be revealed in Mynd. Two coming February 2021.
